VINEYARDS: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 100%
Intense ruby red, tending to garnet when ageing. On the nose presenting an ample and complex bouquet, notes of cherries, sweet tobacco, liquorice, chocolate and coffee. The taste is full bodied, well structured, tannic but also harmonic and persistent.
TRAINING SYSTEM: “Tendone” system (high trellis supported by crossedwires – Pergola Abruzzese) and trained cordon;
YIELDS PER HECTARE: 50q VINTAGE: Hand-picking; I decade of October
VINIFICATION: Fermentation with skin contact for 15/18 days at a temperature of 20-22°C with delestage and daily punchdowns. Raking followed by malolactic fermentation in steel tanks;
MATURATION: At least 36 months in oak casks and barriques;
BOTTLING: Without refrigerations;
BOTTLE-AGEING: At least 6 Months
